Location

The BelErne River Village lies on Europe's longest navigable inland waterway, the Shannon-Erne Waterway, which traverses 62.5km of lake, river and still water canals. Our cottages are just 1km from the town of Belturbet which is situated north west of Cavan Town. The scenery is unsurpassed with countless lakes and rivers everywhere you go.

One is spoiled for choice of route to Belerne as it lies of equal distance from Dublin as from Belfast.

The town is situated on the N3 road from Dublin to Enniskillen. 

The River Erne with it's many lakes dominate the whole area and the river is joined by the Shannon Erne Waterway below this busy town.
